A simple one-day schedule change has had a bigger impact on our lives than we expected. Between opposite work schedules, finding time together, and making room for new adventures like kayaking, Beth and I are learning that sometimes the key to a strong marriage isn’t having more time—it’s making the most of the time you have.
We’re done trying to be perfect. Between stress, schedule changes, money worries, and trying to balance real life, we realized we needed a healthier and more sustainable direction. So we’re rebuilding our routines with higher-protein low-carb eating, walking, lifting, kayaking, and focusing more on consistency instead of perfection. This is the new direction for both our lives and BB Fitness & Adventures.
Sometimes the best weekends are the ones you never planned. What started as a random trip to downtown Indianapolis turned into an unforgettable weekend filled with an Indiana Fever game, Indy 500 weekend energy, great food, and a reminder that life is meant to be enjoyed once in a while.

Smoky, creamy, and packed with protein, this Smoked Paprika Chicken Skillet became one of those “make this again immediately” dinners for us. It’s simple enough for a work night, low carb without feeling like diet food, and loaded with flavor from the smoked paprika, zucchini, and lemon juice. Perfect for staying on track while still eating something that actually feels comforting and filling.
The May Day Challenge didn’t start perfect—but it started. Four days in, we’re dialing in keto, workouts, and real-life adjustments that actually stick.
Today marks 6 months without alcohol and vaping. And I’ll be honest with you… I thought it would feel bigger.
I didn’t feel like eating another boring diet meal, So I made a smoked keto meatloaf on the smoker-and this
