This Is Us: Beth, Me, and Why We Chose a Better Life

This blog isn’t just about fitness.

It’s about us—Beth and me—and the life we’re building together.

For a long time, we were just getting through the days. Life was busy, routines were easy to fall into, and somewhere along the way, taking care of ourselves slipped to the bottom of the list. We didn’t feel our best physically or mentally, and deep down we both knew something needed to change.

Not because anyone told us to.

Because we wanted more—for ourselves and for each other.

Who We Are

We’re not fitness models.

We’re not perfect.

We’re real people who decided we didn’t want to stay stuck anymore.

Beth is strong in ways that go far beyond the gym. She’s supportive, grounded, and has a way of keeping things real when motivation fades. I’m more driven by impulse—when I decide something needs to change, I want to move now. Together, we balance each other.

That balance is what pushed us forward.

Why Fitness Became Part of Our Story

Our fitness journey didn’t start with chasing a certain number on the scale or trying to look like someone else. It started with wanting to feel better.

We wanted:

• More energy

• Less discomfort

• Confidence in our own skin

• The ability to show up fully in life

Some days we crushed it. Some days we struggled. And some days we had to remind each other why we started in the first place.

But we kept choosing better—one decision at a time.

What This Blog Is Really About

BB Fitness & Adventures is a reflection of our life, not a highlight reel.

It’s about:

• Fitness that fits real life

• Encouraging each other when motivation runs low

• Learning as we go

• Adventures big and small

• Progress, not perfection

We share because we know there are other couples, families, and individuals out there feeling the same way we once did—tired, uncomfortable, and ready for something more.

Why We’re Sharing Our Journey

We don’t have everything figured out.

But we’re committed to growing—together.

If our story helps even one person feel less alone or more motivated to start, then sharing it is worth it.
